How To Build A Buyer’s List

How To Build A Buyer’s List

Real estate investment is all about buying and selling houses. To sell fast you need to have a network of buyers. Here’s how to build a buyer’s list.

Networking

Networking means socializing with like-minded people in order to exchange ideas and information. Realtors may join local organization chapters in their industry not only to meet new realtors but also to find out what’s going on in the real estate world. Other places to network include chamber of commerce meetings and joining real estate groups offline and online.

Networking is also a great way to meet new people who are interested in buying or selling a house. Real estate seminars and open houses could be great events to find buyers.

Social Media

Everybody has a social media page nowadays, be it Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn. Social media is a great place to expand your buyers list because it is a vast social community of friends who are connected to other friends.

There are also many real estate related groups on Facebook that you can join. These groups are usually open to realtors, buyers and sellers locally, nationally and even internationally so it’s a great chance to expand your network and list. There are also a lot of realtors on sites like LinkedIn which means you can easily connect with other people in the business.

Record Of All Transactions

If you’ve been a realtor or real estate investor for some time you probably have a record or list of people you’ve been in contact with during various transactions. These people are not only contacts; they are also potential buyers. For example, your painter might be buying a house in the future or knows somebody in their family who may soon buy one.

Contacting people you’ve worked with is easy because people in the real estate world usually end up working together so chances are, you already have their numbers or email addresses.

Other Sources

Other sources to build your buyers list include placing ads in newspapers or Craigslist. You can place attractive titles like “No Credit Welcome” or “Investors Deals”. These attention grabbing headlines could result in buyers, realtors and rehabbers contacting you for information on the house or property. If the property has already sold then still get their contact information so that you can contact them in the future when you have new deals to offer.

Another great way to expand your list is by creating landing pages designed to capture buyer’s information. You can create traffic to your squeeze page by keyword research or through pay-per-click campaigns.

The trick to building a buyers list is by establishing contact with other people. Approaching people for information can be intimidating at first but it gets easier as time goes by. The more contacts you have, the bigger your list and the bigger chance of selling a house. If you are in the market to sell, call Gold Path Real Estate today at 612-758-0071.
